The drama about the 1969 Stonewall riots that started America's LGBT rights movement is directed by Roland Emmerich and opens September 25.
With Stonewall, mega-director Roland Emmerich is hoping to create the definitive story of the 1969 Stonewall Riots in New York City for a new generation.

Synopsis: Danny Winters (Jeremy Irvine) is a fictional character caught up during the Village scuffle and is forced to leave behind friends and loved ones when he is kicked out of his parent's home and flees to New York. The film also includes Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Ron Perlman, Joey King, Jonny Beauchamp (Penny Dreadful) Caleb Landry Jones (Banshee in X-Men: First Class), and is sure to rile people up.
Stonewall is set to open theatrically across the country Sept. 25.
