Pansexual actress and influencer Bella Thorne is always candid about her life, which is a huge part of what's made her so famous. In a new Instagram post, Thorne got real about her need for romantic affirmation and the trauma it stems from, revealing she's been molested her "whole life."
The stream-of-consciousness "poem" explores her need for "validation from everyone but mostly men," explaining that while she wants to be independent, she's not there yet. "All I want is him. I want him to hold me, I want him to love me, I want him to tell me it's ok, I want him to look me in the eyes and let me know I'm accepted," she wrote. "Why? Because I can't accept myself."
Thorne posits that the reason she can't accept herself, why she's "not good enough for the next him or her or anyone else," is "because I was molested my whole life. Exposed to sex at such a young age it's all I know how to offer to the world ...or is it because I was raised to think I wasn't good enough. Not good enough for her or anything else." But Thorne clarified that she doesn't blame her current choices on her childhood, and is more interested in learning to love herself than finding a "cheat code" to happiness.
"Right now I only hurt ... but I'm not hurting for other people no I'm only hurting myself. By not loving me and by not accepting me," she added. "Usually these free handed writing bits .. they have an end, but I don't have an end. I'm still figuring it out as always."
She left off with some advice for her fans, saying it's alright "to know what your end goal Is but absolutely no way or idea how to achieve it." We all felt that.
