Rosario Dawson has something she wants to clarify. She never really, officially came out. Well, now she did by saying that, but she didn't before. But now, finally, it's out there.

In a new interview with Bustle, the actress was asked about a 2018 Instagram post in honor of Pride month. In it, she reposted a video from the queer rapper Chika. In the video, the musician is rapping about Pride and identity. In the caption, Dawson reposted Chika's words that are the hook to the song.

"I will not be ashamed," she wrote. "This is just who I am. And who I was meant to be. No mistakes."

Dawson added her own words as well. "Happy Pride month!" she wrote. "Sending love to my fellow LGBTQ+ homies. Keep being strong in the face of adversity. Loud & proud." At the time some took the "fellow LGBTQ+ homies" phrase to mean that Dawson was coming out as a part of the community as well. They also took "throwbyke," written later in the caption, to be a wink and a nod. It was a point that Bustle wanted some clarification on.

"People kept saying that I [came out]... I didn't do that," Dawson told the site. "I mean, it's not inaccurate, but I never did come out come out. I mean, I guess I am now." Welp, and just like that, she's out! While she did not give a specific sexuality, the actress felt the need to further clarify the declaration.

"I've never had a relationship in that space, so it's never felt like an authentic calling to me," she said.

Dawson is currently dating Cory Booker.
