The Queen of Drag also revealed he hasn't been to a grocery store in 30 years.
RuPaul is really making the moves and doing the things this year! After kicking off the year with Aj and the Queen on Netflix, the reigning queen of drag launched in to this year's seasons of RuPaul's Drag Race; that's season 12, Secret Celebrity Drag Race season one, and All Stars season five. During that initial roll-out for Aj and the Queen he was on the press circuit, culminating in his first-ever hosting gig on Saturday Night Live. But things are no where near done.
Though Latrice Royale and Raven both previously revealed that they will join Ru, Michelle Visage and Carson Kressley on an upcoming episode of Celebrity Family Feud, on Monday RuPaul appeared as a guest on a special episode of The Price Is Right. Welcome The Price Is Right At Night with RuPaul. In an episode that's currently viewable on Hulu, Ru competes alongside the show's contestants, raising money for Planned Parenthood. And he raises quite the coin!
"I am playing for Planned Parenthood which provides vital, and often free services for men and women," Ru said on the episode.
Of the games, the Queen of Drag helped contestants play the Range Game, Any Number, The Grocery Game, Showcase Showdown, One Away, Most Expensive, and Plinko.
"I haven't been in a grocery store in about thirty years," Ru admitted when they got to the Grocery Store game. The host and audience responded in laughter.
But, other than a few encouraging words and energetic gestures, the Emmy-winning performer didn't have much else to say. At the end of his segment, while spinning the wheel of numbers, Ru did give a shout out.
"I want to say 'Hi Georges in Wyoming,'" he said when asked if he had any shout outs to give. Georges, we are assuming, is his husband Georges LeBar. And by Wyoming, we are assuming he means on the ranch -- yes, that ranch.
By the end of the episode RuPaul had raised $97,266 for Planned Parenthood.
