The Wachowski sisters are iconic! Truly. The pair of them are the minds behind The Matrix series and Sense8. Lana Wachowski is going a bit solo right now working on the heavily-anticipated fourth installment of The Matrix. And though Lilly may have moved on from the project, she doesn't have any problem protecting its legacy.
Over the weekend, Elon Musk tweeted "Take the red pill." The line is obviously pulled from The Matrix but has recently, in some circles, meant to have a political awakening and realize that the Republicans, or conservatism, is in your best interest. Candace Owens named her YouTube channel "Redpilled Black" under this banner. This, of course, can go to the extreme meaning to convert to the far right but, that's not necessarily every case.
Ivanka Trump signal-boosted the tweet: "Taken!" she wrote in a quote tweet. Wachowski, who was the director of The Matrix film where the phrase was originally used had a response for both of them.
"Fuck both of you," she wrote.

Succinct enough!
When she's not shutting down the Trumps, Lilly is working on her own projects. She has a series on Showtime called Work in Progress. That project stars Abby McEnany as a 'fat, queer dyke.' It was renewed for a second season earlier this year and premiered at Sundance in 2019.
The new Matrix project that Lana is working on includes Jonathan Groff, Brian J. Smith, Neil Patrick Harris, and Keanu Reeves.
