Bretman Rock is known for his fierce looks and fiercer personality, and now he's ready to take us inside his world.
MTV released the first trailer for the upcoming digital reality series MTV's Following: Bretman Rock, and we cannot wait to see all this drama unfold on our computers.
The trailer starts off in tropical Hawaii, showing beautiful mountains, stunning beaches, and serene palm trees, then paradise is interrupted by Rock saying, "Aloha, Bitch." He continues, "I'm Bretman Rock, the baddest content creator of all time, and now the newest MTV reality star. And trust me, there is no holding back."
"We get wild, we get real, and girl, you know we got drama," Rock says in a voice over.
From playing on the beach and zip lining above the jungle, to dramatic fights and reconciliations with family and friends, this show looks like it has it all. "I'm just tired of people bullying me... like you," one of Rock's friends tells him in the preview. Plus there's plenty of tears to go around as Rock and his trans and gender nonconforming friends try to find their place in the world.
Back in December, Nylon reported that Rock would be getting a reality show on MTV YouTube that would "focus on Rock's life over the last few months, chronicling as he navigated fame and personal loss during the... pandemic." According to a press release, episodes will focus on Rock's "new business, the loss of his dad, being an internet superstar, and his mom's move.
In an interview with Fashion Week Daily also in December, Rock talked about what it's like filming the series. "Everything is happening so fast," he said, "I go to work every day and realize this was just something I'd think about as a kid. I'm living my dream. It's so surreal. I go to set every day and I'm in awe. I just know I'm made for the camera. This is my calling."
MTV Following: Bretman Rock debuts on Monday, February 8 at 4pm EST on MTV's YouTube channel, with new episodes debuting every week.
