A proud and happy Anderson Cooper announced the birth of his second son on last night's edition of AC360.
Cooper revealed to his viewers that Sebastian Luke Maisani-Cooper was born via surrogacy to he and his good friend/ex-boyfriend Benjamin Maisani.
"I wanted to start out with some good news, which also happens to be very personal news," Cooper said as he opened AC360 last night, reminding viewers how he announced the birth of his son, Wyatt, during what he described as the "early dark days of the pandemic" in April 2020.
"This is Wyatt today," Cooper continued. "He is nearly 22 months old. He is sweet, funny, and the greatest joy of my life. If he looks particularly happy in this picture, it's because he now has a baby brother. His name is Sebastian, and I would like you to meet him."
"He is healthy and happy and even his occasional hiccups are, to me, adorable," Cooper continued. "He mostly just sleeps and eats, and he certainly poops, but he already seems like a wise and thoughtful little chap."
Cooper said he and Maisani will raise Sebastian together, just as they currently raise Wyatt.
"We are co-parents," Cooper explained. "Wyatt calls me Daddy, and Benjamin is Papa."
Cooper explained to Ellen DeGeneres on an episode of her talk show last year that he and Maisani "still live in the same house" because they "get along really well."
"It's weird but it works," Cooper said at the time.
Cooper has not been shy about sharing his life as a father with the outside world. His social media is filled with heartwarming moments showing a loving father doting on his adorably cute young son.
Last year he celebrated Wyatt's first birthday with a stroll down the street and a post to social media.
"Today is Wyatt's first birthday," Cooper revealed at the time. "I can't believe it has already been a year. He is sweet and funny, happy and kind, and I love him more than I ever thought possible."
