Ghana Looking To "Cure" Gays

So, how does a gay-hating country follow up a nation wide witch hunt and exodus-sparking death threats? Why, it gets the church involved! Last we heard, Ghana was all for arresting and/or flogging its gay community, but now it seems they're more focused on showing us the "light" via gay rehabilitation centers.

Earlier this week, the Presbyterian Church of Ghana said they will establish various counseling centers for the poor "victims" of homosexuality. Gee, thanks.

The PCG's Moderator of the General Assembly, Right Reverend Professor Emmanuel Martey (say that 10 times fast) must not read a lot of news, for he urged Ghana's leaders to take effective actions against the community. Uh, weren't the leaders already doing that when their hunt began?

But misery loves company, as Martey appointed 36 Ministerial Probationers for the church, with the soul duty of "curing" gays.

All we can say is, "good luck" to these Probationers -- they'll need it.
