From the title to fake teasers...

Excitement for American Horror Story's upcoming season of FX is reaching new heights as fans clamor for anything that can get on season 4. In order to satiate fans, we've gathered up the essential info (officially) revealed about the show:

1. The Title

Ryan Murphy revealed via Twitter that season 4 will be officially known as American Horror Story: Freak Show.

2. The Theme

As we previously reported, the show will focus on the world of carnivals. "Yes. It doesn't have a title, but that's the idea," Douglas Petrie said during a Nerdist podcast. "Very roughly, that's the idea."

3. The Setting

Entertainment Weeklyreported that the show will take place in Jupiter, Florida. The real city is named for the Hobe Indian tribe, which could possibly contribute to the supernatural themes of the show.

4. The Time Period

The show will take place during the 1950s. "If you look historically what happened in the year 1950, there's some more clues in that year," Murphy toldEW. "It's a period piece."

5. Jessica Lange

In her last season on the show, Lange will portray a German ex-pat who is the ringleader of one of the State's last existing freak shows.

6. Marlene Dietrich

Murphy also said that he is modeling Lange's character after the famed German actress and singer of the flapper years and spent much her time in the '50s as a touring show performer.

7. The Rest of the Cast

As for the rest of the cast, it has been announced that Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, and Frances Conroy are all returning to the show. They will be among Lange's gang of freaks. Meanwhile, Denis O'Hare and Emma Roberts are reportedly still in talks.

8. Sarah Paulson's Special Skill

The actress revealed to Vulture that she's working on "a special skill. A very special skill."

9. The Premiere

While a date hasn't been officially announced, it's been reported that the show will premiere in October of this year.

10. The Fake Teasers

All the teasers and posters popping up around the internet are fakes. Sadly none of them are associated with the FX series. But they are fun to watch.
