Laverne Cox’s The T Word Doc Premieres

Last night, Laverne Cox and the cast of The T Wordlit the Empire State Building purple in honor of Spirit Day. Tonight, they will be gracing MTV and Logo for the premiere of The T Word, which follows Laverne Cox as she spotlights trans youth from ages 12-24 while they share their stories. The documentary is part of MTV's "Look Different" campaign, which aims to use education to fight biases based on race, gender, and sexual orientation.

The documentary aires on MTV and Logo Oct. 17 at 7/6 p.m. ET/C. Watch a first look below:
