Last night Whoopi Goldberg hosted the 7th annual amfAR Inspiration Gala New York, honoring model Naomi Campbell and designer Kim Jones for their ongoing support of HIV/AIDS organizations.

TV host Wendy Williams introduced her friend Naomi Campbell with the Award of Inspiration (pictured, below) for her outstanding contributions to the fight against AIDS. Campbell dedicated her prize to everyone who has been affected by HIV/AIDS, and thanked amfAR "for bringing us to this much more hopeful point," stressing that "we are nearly there and we are not going to give up."

The model referred to amfAR's goal to find a cure for HIV by 2020.

Louis Vuitton men's creative director Kim Jones received his award from ex-One Direction Zayn Malik. Following their acceptance speeches, amfAR Honorary Chair Kate Moss made a surprise appearance (in a video) to send her congratulations to her friends Naomi and Kim.

As per tradition, the evening wrapped up with a live auction, a runway show (pictured, below: model Chad White and his husky,) and a performance by R'n'B singer Jason Derulo.

In total, the evening raised $1.2 million for amfAR.

Other guests included Leonardo DiCaprio, designer Zac Posen, Kelly Osbourne, Victoria Justice, and fashion designer and amfAR chairman of the board Kenneth Cole.

Cole was also recently appointed International Goodwill Ambassador by UNAIDS. In his new role, the designer will work to rally the global community, and advocate for an inclusive response to the AIDS epidemic. He will help with the communication of clear benchmarks and goals in the AIDS response, including amfAR's mission of finding a cure, and UNAIDS ultimate target: to eliminate HIV and AIDS by 2030.
