Z Zegna Fall/Winter 2017
Last year's big designer shakeup saw Stefano Pilati depart Ermengildo Zegna, with Berluti's Alessandro Sartori back at the helm of the Italian brand. Sartori made his first forray into fashion at Zegna shortly after graduating, in 1989, and soon became the creative director of Z Zegna, the brand's more fashion-forward sister label. Sartori left in 2011, and his comeback six years later seems to herald a return to Zegna's roots.
For his latest collection, presented at Pitti Uomo, in Florence, Sartori applied his tailoring skills to a mountaineering theme geared toward the cold outdoors, mixing cozy turtlenecks and puffer jacket with wool suits and hiking boots. These 35 flawless looks makes one look forward to Sartori's main collection for Ermenegildo Zegna, which will be shown at Milan Fashion Week later this month.
