Yes, That’s an Orgy In Palomo Spain’s Latest Campaign

Matt Lambert shot the images to portray queer romance and intimacy.

There's a lot of people who throw around the word "unapologetically" these days but one fashion brand that really lives the life is Palomo Spain. The brand caught favor with the fashion industry for unabashedly confronting gender stereotypes and designing dresses -- amongst other things -- for men. It has also become a favorite of stars like Billy Porter who sat front row at their fashion show this past February. But as the label's latest campaign shows, it's also always been about queer sexuality.

Helmed by Alejandro Gomez Palomo, the brand has never shied away from a specifically gay sex appeal -- I mean, we all saw those trousers with the ass out and that twinks on leashes moment. And this season they've taken that to what is possibly their gayest point yet: in a campaign shot by photographer and videographer Matt Lambert, they've depicted, amongst other things a scene that would be at home at any gay bath house or sex party. And Lambert is certainly the right name to do it; his work documents amongst other things queer people, sensuality and also fashion, having done projects for Grindr, Stefano Pilati's Random Identities, and other queer brands in the past.

According to a release, the three pairs of images that make up the campaign feature "an irreverant yet delicate celebration of queer romance and intimacy." The images feature male models laying over each other, licking and touching torsos in various states of undress -- obviously when they are dressed, they wear pieces from the brand's Sergei Diaguilev's Ballets Russes inspired Fall 2019 collection. In one shot, a model seems to fellate another while others watch. It is all, in a word, "unapologetic" in both queerness and explicit sexuality in ways that we can do nothing but respect.

"It's two different approaches that are both so intrinsic to the house of Palomo Spain," Palomo told AnotherMan. "On one side, you have these arty, picturesque and exquisite [images] and the other more instinctive, impulsive ones that Matt uses to take us to a romantic, lustful - and almost museum-like - world." And it's true, some of the tableaux take on a painterly feel.

"My goal is to inspire men to be able to show and enjoy their own self and be comfortable wearing whatever they want," Palomo said.

And you know what they say: sex sells.
