The publication has a spotty track record but it's a pretty interesting idea
Given everything that's going on in the world -- namely the ongoing global pandemic -- it may be a long time before we get to see Lady Gaga give us the festival performances that Chromatica deserves. A long time before we are dancing shirtless wearing whatever neon pieces of Chromatica merch that finally got shipped out to us. Such a long time. But, in the interim, maybe we get to see her on the big screen again?
After an Oscar-winning tour on A Star Is Born, Gaga was tapped to play Patrizia Reggiani, the ex-wife of Maurizio Gucci -- grandson of the founder of the brand Gucci. Reggiani was convicted of arranging her husband's assassination on the steps of the Gucci offices in 1995. That film has since been bought by MGM and is based on the book The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed. It is set to release on November 24, 2021. But apparently, others want a piece of Mother Monster as well.
We Got This Covered is reporting that Marvel Studios is hoping she'll join the MCU. According to the publication's sources, the singer and actress is being eyed for the role of Emma Frost. The intel comes from sources that have given the publication other news that has since been verified -- that said, We Got This Covered has also reported out tips that have not been confirmed.
There's really no telling whether this is true or not at this point but a queer certainly can dream!
