Let's be real... many people still have a crush on Colton Haynes to this day.
The actor rose to superstardom as one of the many recognizable faces on the hit MTV series Teen Wolf.
During its peak, the show garnered a cult following that sent many of the actors into successful careers in the entertainment industry.
"I was part of the Tumblr generation. I was the main heading on Tumblr all the time. When we started doing Teen Wolf, which was a show that really wasn't supposed to be as big as it became, we were everywhere. We were ringing the bell at NASDAQ, we were all over billboards... it was a really special moment," Haynes tells Out.
As Haynes' celebrity status grew, the star decided to become more vulnerable with his fans and the world by publicly coming out and releasing a tell-all memoir, Miss Memory Lane.
"The feedback has been such a beautiful experience to see," he said. "People really connected with my story as a gay teen in the Midwest and [trying] to make it in this industry when it's not necessarily conducive or doesn't appreciate LGBTQ+ talent. To actually tell my story that way, it changed my life. This book really saved my life and hopefully, it will do the same for other people. Coming out was something that was really important to me and really just helped me become the person I am. I'm just happy that I am able to be doing what I love and hoping that my story is helping people."
Now, Haynes is adding more to his acting resume by joining Lifetime's Ripped from the Headlines series in the new film Swindler Seduction.
The actor will portray multiple roles in the movie, which is based on true events.
"I play twin con-artist brothers named Steve and Mitch. The main female character falls in love with this charming, charismatic guy that she meets at a bar. Turns out, he ends up basically taking everything from her and gets involved in the swindle with his twin brother. One of the twins takes on different characters as well, so I end up playing like five or six different characters. It's just such a great experience to get to play different characters who aren't the same character that I normally play, which is like... jerk, jock, or the villain."
Speaking of familiar characters, Haynes will reprise his role as Jackson Whittemore in Teen Wolf: The Movie, which is set to premiere on January 26, 2023 on Paramount+.
"Early on in my career, which is almost like 20 years ago, I learned... if that's what you're going to be cast as, you gotta learn how to do that and try to do it as good as you can. It's weird to look back at now. My days of setting trends... I think are gone."
Swindler Seduction premieres Saturday, October 22nd on Lifetime. For the full interview with Colton Haynes, check out the video below.
