Halsey is stepping into the world of Hollywood!
The 27-year-old singer is getting her first big film role in a new movie titled National Anthem, and she has some pretty great co-stars. Alongside Halsey (who had a small cameo appearance in 2018's Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper drama A Star Is Born and has done various voice roles in animated projects), the movie will also star Euphoria's Sydney Sweeney, as well as Paul Walter Hauser, Red Rocket's Simon Rex, Toby Huss, Gavin Maddox Bergman, Harriet Sansom Harris, and newcomer Derek Hinkey.
According to Deadline, the film "revolves around a gritty hunt for a valuable rare Lakota Native American Ghost Shirt. Some are hunting for fortune, others for personal freedom, while others simply want to return it properly to its home. No longer will the marginalized be ignored - all must learn to survive, or else."

After appearing in movies like Big Time Adolescence and Once Upon a Time...in Hollywood, and in shows like Everything Sucks!, The Handmaid's Tale, and Sharp Objects, Sweeney is currently part of the most buzzed about cast on TV on HBO's Euphoria where she plays troubled teen Cassie Howard.
Last year was a huge year for Halsey.
In March, they updated their pronouns on social media to she/they."For those asking RE: my updated IG bio, I am happy with either pronouns," they wrote on Instagram. "The inclusion of 'they' in addition to 'she' feels most authentic to me. If you know me at all, you know what it means to me to express this outwardly. Thanks for being the best."
Just a few months later, Halsey gave birth to her first child, Ender Ridley Aydin, who's father is screenwriter Alev Aydin. "Gratitude," they wrote at the time, "For the most 'rare' and euphoric birth. Powered by love."
Halsey, of course, also released their terrific album If I Can't Have Love, I Want Power, a powerhouse album that explored themes of motherhood, gender, love, sex and pregnancy. It looks like 2022 won't be any less amazing for Halsey!
