Billy Eichner's Bros Will Contain 'Strong Sexual Content,' Is Rated R

This is what we like to see!

The Bros are coming, and they're coming hard!

As the release date for Billy Eichner's Judd-Apatow-produced, major-studio romantic comedy approaches, we're learning more and more about the project and falling even more in love with it. Now, we know just how down and dirty the movie will be getting.

"Very proud to announce that Bros has been Rated R for 'Strong Sexual Content, Language Throughout, and Some Drug Use!'" Eichner tweeted along with a bunch of smiling devil emojis. "See you in Sept!!!"

Back in January, we learned that Bros would be debuting in theaters on September 30 of this year, after it was initially announced to have a release date in August. We'll have to wait an extra month, but it seems like the wait will be worth it.

Bros, which Eichner has been touting as the "first gay rom-com from a major studio" and the first major studio film to have an all out LGBTQ+ main cast, even for the straight roles, has been one of Hollywood's most hyped projects since it was first announced.

Aside from Eichner, who also co-wrote the script, Bros also stars Luke MacFarlane, Amanda Bearse, Harvey Fierstein, Bowen Yang, TS Madison, Symone, Miss Lawrence, Guillermo Diaz, and Guy Branam.

If Bros isn't enough for you, Joel Kim Booster's gay rom-com Fire Island is coming out even sooner, premiering on June 3 on Hulu. The trailer for that movie just dropped, and it looks hot, sexy, and hilarious!

This is what we love to see! Hopefully, these two movies usher in a brave new world where we see multiple major queer rom coms every year!
