Greta Gerwig's Barbie movie is gay culture. We are declaring it now.
Warner Bros. just released the first pic of Ryan Gosling as Ken in the upcoming Margot Robbie-led Barbie film and he is serving plastic perfection realness! (Just look at those abs -- is that an eight-pack?!) With his bleach-blond hair, light-wash denim on denim outfit, and of course, that cheeky KEN visible underwear band (paying tribute to legendary Calvin Klein undies) this is probably one of the gayest images we've seen this Pride Month.
Gosling is giving us face AND body, he looks just like a gay sex doll come to life. (That's what Ken is, right??)

Apart from those abs and that visible underwear band and the hair and the denim and EVERYTHING else about this image, we do know that the movie has several queer actors in its cast.
Back in February, it was announced that SNL star Kate McKinnon had joined the cast in an undisclosed, but hopefully lesbian, role. McKinnon and Robbie already have great chemistry, playing coworkers at Fox News who also have a little lesbian sex in the 2019 movie Bombshell.
Then, in April, the movie announced it had cast one of The Dolls, Hari Nef, to play another undisclosed role. Nef, who has appeared in And Just Like That, Transparent, and Assassination Nation, joins a cast that also includes queer actress Alexandra Shipp, America Ferrara, and Simu Liu.

Already, the first image of Robbie as Barbie herself made us gag, and now this? The girls, the gays, and the theys are going to be flocking to theaters on July 21, 2023 to see this movie, and I'm going to be one of them.
