The Grammy-winning popstar and actor is about to co-star alongside The Crown's Emma Corrin and David Dawson in Michael Grandage's anticipated new gay drama film My Policeman. Premiering this month at the Toronto International Film Festival and then streaming this fall on Amazon Prime Video, the film is based on author Bethan Roberts' novel of the same name and tells "a beautifully crafted story of forbidden love and changing social conventions" that "follows three young people--policeman Tom (Harry Styles), teacher Marion (Emma Corrin), and museum curator Patrick (David Dawson)--as they embark on an emotional journey in 1950s Britain. Flashing forward to the 1990s, Tom (Linus Roache), Marion (Gina McKee), and Patrick (Rupert Everett) are still reeling with longing and regret, but now they have one last chance to repair the damage of the past."
The official full trailer for the film just dropped, and from the looks of it, we're going to be getting lots of forbidden romance, angst, love scenes, and tons and tons of drama.
Scroll through to see new first-look images from My Policeman and watch the official trailer for the film below. My Policeman opens in select theaters on October 21 and starts streaming on Amazon Prime Video on November 4.
