Ten years ago, openly gay twins Tegan and Sara released their breakthrough album, The Con. Today, they're teamed up with 14 of their favorite artists to release The Con X, an anniversary LP featuring covers of every song from the original. Artists including Mykki Blanco, CHVRCHES, Shamir, and Grimes bring their own sonic twists to old favorites, making The Con X feel less like a trip down memory lane and more like an entirely new experience.

Standout tracks include Trashique (GRIMES X HANA)'s "Dark Come Soon," Ryan Adams' "Back in Your Head," and MUNA's "Relief Next to Me." The deluxe version of the album also features a cover of "Back in Your Head" by '80s icon Cyndi Lauper that we can't stop listening to.
While the album sounds phenomenal on its own, it's good to know that it also supports a great cause. Warner Brothers Records will donate the net proceeds from album sales to the Tegan and Sara Foundation, which fights for economic justice, health, and representation for LGBTQ girls and women.
