Goldfrapp's 'Anymore' Video is a Dance-Heavy Desert Spectacular

Goldfrapp

Watch the cinematic short, set entirely within a volcanic island.

After teasing a return to hard electronic in January, and announcing a forthcoming album, Goldfrapp dropped today their new music video for lead single, "Anymore."

Goldfrapp's cinematic visual is set in the deserts of Fuerteventura, a volcanic island off the coast of Africa. Throughout the short, dancers move powerfully against Goldfrapp repeating the lyrics, "I can't wait any, wait anymore." The glistening synth single comes off Goldfrapp's new album, Silver Eye, out March 31.

"I really love volcanic rock, I find it fascinating." Alison Goldfrapp told DAZED, speaking to the video's environment. "Fuerteventura is much more palatable in terms of weather than Iceland. I love it in the same way as the desert. There's something about that landscape that is so tantalising as it serves as an amazing backdrop. It's like having a blank canvas that allows you to visualise colour and a narrative."
