While the lead single off Beth Ditto's forthcoming album Fake Sugar was literal "Fire," the follow-up, "Oo La La" packs just as much heat. From what is quickly becoming the soundtrack to any night at your favorite dive bar, "Oo La La" strikes a great balance of rock vibes as the singer's ringing voice amps you up to break a beer bottle over someone's head at any second.

Ditto, who many know as the former lead singer of Gossip, compared coming up with and completing Fake Sugar (out June 16) to speed dating. "I probably have seen more of 65 to 80 songs - a lot of digging," she told BBC Radio 1's MistaJam. "I don't play anything, so I'd go into these different writing sessions with people I didn't know."
Though she hadn't been involved with an album since Gossip's 2012 effort, A Joyful Noise, Ditto made a handful of guest appearances and even launched her own fashion line last year before announcing the anticipated Fake Sugar. Listen to "Oo La La," below.
