Ariana Grande’s Charlie’s Angels Soundtrack Is Gay as Hell
Kim Petras, Chaka Khan, Normani, and Nicki Minaj are all featured.
We're still a month away from the release of the latest Charlie's Angels reboot, but on Thursday Ariana Grande revealed the tracklist for the film's soundtrack. In the surprise of of all surprises, it's got (extremely Whitney Houston voice) Chaka Khan on it. That's right, Miss 'Every Woman' herself will duet with Grande on the film's soundtrack, which Grande has executive produced.
The film will feature five new songs by the pop star, many of which are duets with other artists. There the solo track "How I Look on You," Chaka Khan's duet "Nobody," "Bad to You," which features Normani and Nicki Minaj, and "Got Her Own," which features frequent Grande collaborator Victoria Monet. And then, of course, there's the previously released "Don't Call Me Angel" with Miley Cyrus and Lana Del Rey, the video for which debuted last month.
Alongside Grande's announcement, a new song from the soundtrack was released: "How it's Done," featuring Kash Doll, Alma, Stefflon Don, and gay favorite Kim Petras.
Charlie's Angels, due in theaters next month, sees hot queer movie star Kristen Stewart in her first big franchise role since the Twilight series. In September, Stewart revealed that she'd once been told that if she stayed closeted, she "'might get a Marvel movie.'" Stewart later followed up saying that she'd be down to play a gay superhero. Maybe Ariana can do the soundtrack for that movie, too?
Charlie's Angelsis in theaters November 15. The soundtrack will be released November 1.
