Pabllo Vittar's fans are once again hot and bothered by RuPaul not acknowledging the Brazilian queen's achievements.
On Saturday, April 16, Vittar made history as the first-ever drag queen to perform at Coachella. While most fans simply celebrated Vittar's historic accomplishment, certain fans started to tag RuPaul in their tweets urging the Drag Race host to congratulate the Brazilian popstar.
For instance, Twitter user @vittarwest wrote in a tweet that Vittar "would be very happy to have [RuPaul's] recognition," tagging RuPaul's account in the post. Under an hour later, @vittarwest shared another tweet alleging that they had been blocked by RuPaul.

Out reached out to the Twitter user to verify whether or not the screenshot showing they were blocked was accurate. @vittarwest has now responded and confirmed that they were blocked by RuPaul's Twitter account 20 minutes after sharing their initial tweet.
Nonetheless, this isn't the first time that Vittar's fans have speculated about a feud with the Brazilian queen. In June 2020, fans noticed that Vittar unfollowed Ru on Instagram and started whispers of a rivalry between the two queens. In response, Vittar asked her fans to stop engaging in such speculation. She wrote, "Stop [pitting us against each other as rivals]. This is ugly as hell. The fact of following [someone] or not doesn't take away the respect I have for mother Ru! If I am a drag queen today, it was because her show showed me that it was possible. I love and respect and hope to meet her one day."
“@PablloDailyV @RuPaul parem rivalizar as coisas isso é feio pra carai, o fato de seguir ou não não tira o respeito que eu tenho pela mother Ru! se eu sou drag queen hoje foi por que o programa dela me mostrou que era possível.. eu amo e respeito e espero um dia conhecê-la”— Pabllo Vittar (@Pabllo Vittar) 1593171430
There's a long history of Vittar's fans thinking that the singer has been deliberately ignored by RuPaul over the years due to her massive following and success. While there isn't any real proof to support such claims, fans have picked up on certain "cues" and have engaged in this narrative on social media for many years now. In fact, Drag Race alumni Willam and Alaska even commented on this supposed rivalry during an episode of Race Chaser where Willam alleged that RuPaul unfollowed Lady Gaga on Instagram after learning that Vittar was a featured artist in the Chromatica remix album.
If it is true that RuPaul blocked this fan, it could just be that the Drag Race host got annoyed at getting tagged on so many tweets that had nothing to do with her - which is unrelated to how she might feel about Vittar. Ru is famously not very active online and has gone through periods of time when she completely disappeared from social media.
