Is there any man in existence who adores fashion more than Bowles? Vogue's international editor at large joined the magazine as its style editor in 1992, and since then he's curated exhibitions showcasing the garments of Jacqueline Kennedy and Balenciaga; penned books on everyone from Carolina Herrera to Yves Saint Laurent; and auditioned for The X Factor (for his October 2011 story "The X Files") -- all the while amassing one of the most staggering personal antique and vintage couture collections in the world. Bowles continues to oversee the style bible's interior design features and write for Vogue Daily, this year hopscotching from Paris to Beijing to Tangier to report on the latest trends with, as Paul Rudnick once wrote in a 2002 New York article on modern dandies, "a scholar's dedication and a poet's passion."
