Watch Steve Kornacki's Analytical Data Prowess In Real Time

And we are loving every minute of it.

Steve Kornacki has been putting on quite the performance over the last few days. NBC's hotshot election analyst has been the go-to source for updated results and analysis from Tuesday's general election. And while he is not one to sing his own praises, last night even Kornacki's employers thought he might be showing off just a little.

Awaiting results of the latest batch of ballots in election officials in Pennsylvania, Kornacki did his best impersonation of a human calculator working live and in real time. Without missing a beat, he quickly and methodically computed the updated vote difference and then wrote his estimated difference on his touchscreen electoral map. When the vote difference was officially updated on the screen just moments later, it marched Kornacki's estimate exactly.

The electoral stats stud has developed his own following with moments like these, and many fans are expressing concern Kornacki might not be getting the rest and time off he so clearly needs and deserves. Some online are calling for several weeks of vacation for the analyst, while others just want to get him a chair. At one point, Kornacki was headed to take a break and then decided not to, in order to be on-camera with the results from Pennsylvania came in. Early Thursday morning he was on-air as Biden began to lead in both Georgia and Pennsylvania.

Kornacki is a refreshing figure for many in the LGBTQ+ community, a nerdish and wonky political junkie who also happens to be an active sports fanatic. He regularly gets carried away in his analyses, effortlessly pulling up results and numbers not just from both the touchscreen map and his own voluminous memory. But he's becoming known just as known for his smarts as he is his trademark khakis and button down shirt with rolled up sleeves. It's like watching a queer millennial Ward Cleaver from Leave It To Beaver calling election results, only hotter and not quite as Republican.

Thankfully for the country, Kornacki is not one to sleep on the job or call in sick. He let viewers know he was heading back to the studio last night and invited them to come "along for the ride."

If Kornacki ever decides to retire from politics, we have a feeling he might just be perfect as the host of his own late-night show. After all, we're staying up late to watch him on television already.
