We all loved Kate Pierson as one of the founding members of the the iconic band B52s, but at age 66, the singer-songwriter is finally going solo (although she's not against having Debbie Harry join her onstage to perform "Roam").
The sunny pop on Guitars and Microphones, executive produced by Sia, may not be what you typically hear from today's Spotify playlists, but it perks us up! Plus, in the new video you get to check out Pierson as a kid.
"The song is autobiographical, so I mined my treasure chest of family photos, and my friends Dan and Dayna pulled them all together to make the soundtrack of my early days," The singer-songwriter told Refinery29, referring to the childhood photos in the video.
