James Franco Plays Gay Again in 'Wild Horses'
He’s really gunning for that honorary gay card.
James Franco, who says he's "gay in [his] art and straight in [his] life," is taking on yet another gay role.
The actor, who recently played Michael Glatze, a gay activist who rejected his homosexuality and became a Christian pastor, in the biopic I Am Michael, will share the screen with Robert Duvall and Josh Hartnett in upcoming thriller Wild Horses.
Franco will play Ben Briggs, the estranged gay son to Robert Duvall's Scott Briggs. When Texas Ranger Samantha Payne (Luciana Duvall) reopens the 15-year-old cold case of the mysterious death of a local teenager, Scott is squarely in her crosshairs as the prime suspect. Now the patriarch must either silence to law-woman for good or come to terms with Ben's relationship with the dead boy.
The film is slated for a June 5 release. Check out the trailer below.
