Mother Monster is nominated for Best Original Song

It seems that Lady Gaga might just be on her way to an EGOT. Having already won numerous Grammies and as of recently, her first Golden Globe, the singer/actress has just garnered her first Oscar nomination. Perhaps she and her buddy, Leonardo DiCaprio will both win their first Oscars this year.

She was nominated for Best Original Song along with songwriter Diane Warren, having sung "Til It Happens to You." The song was written for The Hunting Ground, a documentary about sexual assault on college campuses in the U.S.

Gaga, who has admitted to being a survivor of rape, has dedicated her first Oscar nomination to fellow survivors of sexual assault. She took to Instagram with a heartfelt message of thanks and support.

Warren also released a statement:

"It means a lot to Lady Gaga and me that the song has been recognized by the Academy and has also resonated so deeply with survivors of sexual assault, giving a voice to this movement as well as comfort and empowerment to those who have experienced any difficult situation in their lives."

Now it's time to get Gaga an Emmy nomination and a show on Broadway to round out her EGOT.
