"Because of lax gun laws my mother was shot....WE NEED TO REFORM GUN LAWS"
Bob the Drag Queen posted on social media Monday that her mother had been shot with a stray bullet while sitting inside of her car.
Also inside the car was Bob's nephew, who was forced to witness his grandmother covered in blood. The bullet "hit her right in between the eyes," but she did survive, Bob said in the Facebook post.
The post was met with an outpour of love and get-well wishes from Drag Race fans all over. Bob tweeted for her mother in response to the support earlier this morning.
“My mom wants to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, and energy. 😊”— Bobbiana (@Bobbiana) 1476188720
Bob's post highlights that the gun could have been easily obtained as a result of the lax gun laws that exist today.
"This gun may have been obtained legally. Because of lax gun laws my mother was shot," the post reads. "The bullet hit her right between the eyes, and it's a miracle that she's not only alive, but able to go home after a few stitches. WE NEED TO REFORM GUN LAWS."
