From Rihanna on repeat to Beyoncé's Lemonade 2.0, this year's VMAs was a memorable one.
1. Rihanna's Performances Slayed Again and Again
Rihanna was this year's video Vanguard Award recipient, and she performed not once, not twice, but five separate times throughout the night. Each performance brought in a completely different stage, a new look, fresh songs, and absolute slayage of viewers (although there was that one note that we're just not going to talk about).
Drake presented the pop star with her award at the close of the show with a heartfelt speech about how the two first met, and how he's been in love with her since he was 22 years old.
2. Beyonce Serving Us All the Lemonade
Showing up with her daughter, Blue Ivy, Beyonce walked the white carpet in an angelic blue dress complete with angel wings over her shoulders. However, when she took the stage to perform her Lemonade melody, she wore a string of looks that crushed. Performing a Lemonade-inspired performace, Beyonce took control of the stage (and smashed one of MTV's cameras) before leaving with a handful of the night's biggest awards.
3. RuPaul's Drag Stars Bring Back VMA History
The stars of the second season of RuPaul's Drag Race: All Stars slayed the white carpet dressed in iconic looks from VMAs years past. Think Lady Gaga's meat dress from 2010 and Britney Spears' snake outfit from 2001.

4. Ariana and Nicki Premiering 2016's Hottest New Work Out Video
Singing the song live for the first time, Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande gave a sexy performance that left audience members screaming--especially one of Grande's biggest fans, her brother Frankie.
The '80s workout-inspired video for the song also premiered last night with some hot and steamy exercise routines that we're sure everyone will be doing at the gym this week.
5. Kanye West's 15 Minutes of Whatever He Wanted
Kanye West, as promised, had his time slot during this year's VMAs to do or say whatever he wanted and he spoke his mind about the industry and his own music before he premiered the music video for his song "Fade." The video stars a very fit Teyana Taylor as she makes a simple workout room her private dance studio and drops all of our jaws to the floor.
6. Britney Spears' Epic Return to the VMA Stage
Britney made a somewhat triumphant return to the stage performing her new song Make Me with artist G-Eazy. Although, attention may have been drawn away from her performance since everyone was still picking up their wigs after Beyonce snatched them clean off. Britney still did her thing and we're jamming to her latest album, Glory.
7. Nick Jonas' 'Bacon' Performance Featuring...Everyone?
The performance served by Jonas in the Tick Tock Diner, located just outside of Madison Square Garden, was everything we needed from him. It was also full of some major celeb cameos. Did you spot them all? Some were more obvious than others and kind of tough to see if you weren't really looking. That is except for one scammer we all know too well.
