Versace Has a Rainbow Jockstrap In Its Pride Collection

Versace Pride Jockstrap

Yep. Absolutely.

Given everything that's going on in culture and society, Pride looks a lot different this year. Brands have retooled their approach, scaled back, and sometimes have even canceled projects altogether -- all valid options. Others have pressed on. So while we have gotten a few brands releasing collections -- Converse has a pretty solid range -- it's probably not as many as we would have had in another year. But, of the options comes a range from Versace with a jockstrap.

Over the past few years, the jockstrap has definitively gone mainstream. Last year Calvin Klein added a beloved five-pack of Pride jockstraps to their collection, and have brought those into this year. Lady Gaga notably is hawking a pink style as a part of her Chromatica merch as well. And now Versace, who has been selling versions of their Medusa print jockstrap for a little while now, has a new rainbow-colored pride style for all.

The full 14-piece range include one-piece swimsuits, a sports bra, slides, a tank top, socks, and more.

"We will be donating a portion of sales from our new Pride 2020 capsule collection to Pride Live and Arcigay: two charities working to create a more equal society," the brand wrote in an Instagram post. Donatella Versace is an ambassador of Pride Live's Stonewall day this year which will benefit those impacted by the ongoing pandemic. Arcigay is an Italian charity that fights violence and discrimination against LGBTQ+ folks.

"Last year I had the honor of becoming a Stonewall Ambassador," Donatella said in a statement. "Supporting LGBTQ+ people has always been a priority for me. Now more than ever it's important we add actions to our words."

The jockstrap is available for $75. Other pieces from the collection range from $75 to $495.
