Candace Parker & Anna Petrakova Welcome Baby Boy to Their Family

Welcome to the world, Airr Larry Petrakov Parker!

WNBA star Candace Parker and her wife Anna Petrakova announced the birth of their first son together. According to a recent post on Instagram, Airr Larry Petrakov Parker was born earlier this month on February 11, 2022.

"We are in absolute love and utter appreciation that Goose chose us," Parker and Petrakova wrote in their Insta post. "Welcome to the fam SON."

Airr Larry Petrakov Parker was also welcomed into the family by Lailaa, Parker's 12-year-old daughter from her previous marriage to Sheldon Williams. Parker earlier revealed Lailaa was "pumped to be a big sister!"

The heartwarming pictures show a family glowing with pride and happiness. Much as her proud mother revealed, Lailaa was particularly attached to her new baby brother. In one picture, she can be seen lovingly holding her little bro.

Parker famously came out last year in a post to social media where she also revealed her marriage of two years to Anna Petrakova and that the happy couple was expecting their first child together.

"2 years ago, I got to marry my best friend in front of our close family and friends," Parker posted last year. "My heart could have exploded. I cried like a baby."

The expectant mother Petrakova looked beautiful and radiant at the time.

Both Parker and Petrakova have storied careers in basketball. Parker is a two-time NCAA Champion with Tennessee.

She was the WNBA's top draft pick, Rookie of the Year, and MVP in 2008 with the Los Angeles Sparks where she won a single title in 2016. She moved to the Chicago Sky where she won another WNBA title in her first season with the team last summer.

Petrakova played professional basketball for the Russian national team, appearing in the 2012 Summer Olympics, and in Russian women's leagues.

Parker didn't play in the recent 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo despite being invited to try out for the squad. Team USA was able to nab gold without her winning presence, but Parker had far more important family matters to consider. Judging from the looks on the faces of this happy, expecting family, Parker made the right decision.
