Dating shows are increasingly integrating LGBTQ+ storylines and content into their footage, most notably with the all sexually fluid season of Are You the One?. It's an encouraging bid of representation that hopefully means we will see less of "I never saw relationships that looked like mine," in the next generation. The latest show to add to that is Bravo's newly revamped Blind Date.

After running for 10 seasons, beginning in the late 1990s, Blind Date is back and bringing with it quite the inclusive cast. In addition to more than a few same sex pairings, the series includes the show's first openly trans woman, in an episode airing tonight.

"I'm a trans woman," Ciara says in a trailer for the four new episodes that air tonight. And just like that, she's made history.

For the episode Ciara, and her date Tucker, enjoy body sushi and a "hilarious dance-off." The date, like all episodes on the show will include commentary by comedian Nikki Glaser via thought bubbles and onscreen animations.

Tucker, according to reports, had never been on a date with a trans woman before Blind Date and Ciara says she was treated very well.

"I was treated very well," she told The Wrap, going on to say that she hadn't been on a date in a while before the show. "Shout out to all the cast and crew. Everybody was very nice and accommodating and that made me feel very comfortable, so that part was amazing."
