There's a whole lot more Ru coming your way!
While we're going to be getting a Queer Eye episode of Celebrity Family Feud on May 31, it looks like Carson Kressley will be double-dipping. Not only did he reunite with his old Queer Eye for the Straight Guy family to compete on the popular show, but he also took part in the show with his new television family from RuPaul's Drag Race. Though the episode was teased earlier in the year with team members Raven and Latrice Royale both posting photos from behind the scenes on social media, Out can exclusively reveal that the Drag Race crew will take to the Family Feud stage on Sunday, June 14.
RuPaul, Michelle Visage, Kressley, Royale, and Raven will face off against cast members from Freeform's The Bold Type. That latter team will include Katie Stevens, Aisha Dee, Melora Hardin, Stephen Conrad Moore, and Sam Page. The Drag Race team is playing to benefit The Ali Forney Center while The Bold Type is playing for Girls, Inc. The news comes off the back of Ru helping to raise almost $100,000 for Planned Parenthood on The Price is Right.
In a recent interview, Kressley teased to Out that the competition made for some good television!
"Ru and Michelle are always on it so there was no surprise there," he says. "But I thought Latrice and Raven were spectacular. They really showed America what amazing entertainers drag queens are because they had Steve Harvey, eating out of the palm of their well-manicured hands."
Celebrity Family Feud featuring teams from The Bold Type and RuPaul's Drag Race will air on ABC on Sunday, June 14 at 8 p.m. It will be available the following day on Hulu.
