Beanie Feldstein & Michaela Jaé Rodriguez Will Co-Star in a New Series

Michaela Jae Rodriguez and Beanie Feldstein

They're just two members of the upcoming anthology's stacked, A-list cast!

Now this is an all-star team-up!!!

Beanie Feldstein, Michaela Jae Rodriguez, and Jameela Jamil are among the queer talent coming to a new TV anthology series Girls Can't Shoot (& Other Lies). They'll star alongside Kat Dennings and Lolly Adefope.

The series is based on the international bestselling essay collection Feminists Don't Wear Pink (and Other Lies) which featured essays written by Feldstein, Jamil, and executive producer on the series Saoirse Ronan.

The collection was curated by Scarlett Curtis, who will serve as EP on the series and will write the pilot episode. Dennings and Adefope will write the episodes they appear in, adapting their essays from the collection. Shadi Hamta is also attached as a writer.

According to Deadline, the first season "will explore and play with the expectations of women in storytelling by placing heroines at the center of traditionally male genres in a multitude of original, high concept, cinematic tales and will put the creative power squarely into the hands of female filmmakers."

"Feminists Don't Wear Pink (and Other Lies) gave a generation of women the chance to tell their stories and Girls Can't Shoot (& Other Lies) has the exact same mission," Curtis said. "It has been my lifelong dream to show that women's stories can be both entertaining and empowering and I could not have found a more incredible group of women to bring their extraordinary visions to life. Working with two producers as supportive, creative, and risk-taking as Bonnie and Mark has been a truly magical process."

Feldstein is actually going to be partnering with Rodriguez on their episode, where the two women will co-star. With these two young legends acting opposite each other, this is sure to be an unforgettable night of TV.

Both Feldstein and Rodriguez are having banner years. Rodriguez ended her run on Pose by becoming the first out trans nominee for a lead actor Emmy, and Feldstein is currently starring as Monica Lewinksy in the current season of Impeachment: American Crime Story. She's also set to play Fanny Brice in the Broadway revival of Funny Girl.
