Tanya is back at The White Lotus!
In the first trailer for The White Lotus season two, we see one familiar face, as well as a slew of new characters -- possibly more unlikeable than the first season cast.
Jennifer Coolidge's Tanya is back in season two, this time she's on vacation with her husband from last season, Greg, and her assistant, which Greg is not too happy about.
There's also an Italian family trying to connect to their Italian roots, but the patriarch of the family (played by F. Murray Abraham) is apparently the kind of man so hard to be around that none of the women of the family wanted to go on the vacation in the first place.
It seems his son, played by Michael Imperioli, is just as bad, as he's seen sneaking much younger sex workers into his hotel room every night.
Aubrey Plaza also joins the cast, playing Harper Spiller, the disaffected wife of a newly-rich man. As she's dragged along on his vacation to the high-end resort, she feels alienated from his fellow wealthy friends.
"Italy's just so romantic. You're gonna die. They're gonna have to drag you out of here," the trailer ends on an ominous note.
Season two of The White Lotus also stars Adam DiMarco, Haley Lu Richardson, Will Sharpe, Simona Tabasco, Tom Hollander, Sabrina Impacciatore, Theo James, Meghann Fahy, Leo Wood, and Beatrice Granno. It's created, written, and directed by Mike White.
White, who is bisexual, won three Emmys for the first season of the show - for writing, directing, and for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series or Movie. Murray Bartlett and Jennifer Coolidge also took home Emmys for Outstanding Supporting Actor and Actress, and the show won five Creative Arts Emmys.
The seven-episode second season debuts Sunday, October 30 at 9pm ET/PT on HBO. Check out the trailer below.
