Nearly all of the male characters on House of the Dragon are evil, dangerous, and untrustworthy, but some of them are also pretty sexy.
As the actor playing Ser Criston Cole on House of the Dragon, Fabien Frankel has become the ultimate heartthrob in the Game of Thrones prequel series. During a recent panel at Comic Con Stockholm, multiple fans and media outlets reported on Frankel declaring that he was jealous about not getting to kiss his costar, Matt Smith (Prince Daemon Targaryen), on the show.
The question posed during this particular Comic Con panel read, "Is there any scene you weren't a part of that made you jealous?" The actor candidly responded:
"Milly [Alcock] got to kiss Matt Smith."
Alcock played the younger version of Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen and had an intimate scene with Smith in the first few episodes of House of the Dragon. Frankel's character had a romantic affair with the princess, but she ultimately broke his heart.
This isn't the first time that Frankel makes his man-crush on Smith crystal clear. Upon the release of House of the Dragon, Frankel told Times of London: "Matt's damn sexy in this show, he's the sexiest I've ever seen him." The actors also had an ongoing secret theory that their characters happened to be flirting during a few of the scenes they filmed together. Frankel noted:
"I remember Matt saying, 'Maybe they're flirting, Criston and Daemon.' It's funny because I thought that in private but I didn't want to say anything in case it felt controversial."
We couldn't agree more that season one of House of the Dragon should've included a kiss between Frankel and Smith, just for funsies. Maybe next time!
House of the Dragon season one is now streaming on HBO Max.
