Manu Ríos Exits 'Élite' After Season 6

Elite heartthrob Manu Rios might be on his way out.

Introduced in season four as the queer and chaotic Patrick, Rios instantly became a standout star on Elite. Even though his character got in between fan-favorite couple Omar (Omar Ayuso) and Ander (Aron Piper), Patrick slowly got a redemption arc and managed to redeem himself with viewers.

Three seasons later, it appears that Rios is now done with the series and won't be returning for the seventh season of Elite. The actor explained in a video with Fotogramas:

"I believe that everything that begins has its end. As an actor, you want to do different things. Although Elite has been an incredible experience and I am very grateful for everything it has brought, there are also times when it is necessary to move on from the stage, change the page, and do other things."

Alas, Rios also left the door open for a potential return in the future.

"But who knows, life takes many turns. So, maybe, in another season... Who knows?" He noted. "But, for now, season six is the closure of my character."

It should be noted that Ayuso himself left Elite after season five but will now return to the series in season seven - so there's already a precedent of actors coming and going over the course of different seasons.
