Editor's note: this post contains spoilers for episode four of Paramount+'s RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 7.
The judges have announced that the "rebirth of Raja" is upon us on RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 7, but she still has yet to win a single maxi challenge.
Longtime fans of RuPaul's Drag Race were very excited about an OG winner like Raja coming back to compete on the newest season of All Stars, but the season three champion keeps getting overlooked by the judges week after week despite her outstanding performances in challenges that she wasn't even necessarily expected to do that well.
After establishing herself as a runway queen in season three, many viewers didn't have any set expectations regarding how Raja would do in the performance-heavy competition that Drag Race has become over the years. And yet, aside from eating up the All Stars 7 runway every single week with larger-than-life looks, Raja is also proving herself to be an absolutely fierce queen in terms of performance, acting, and comedy.
Raja had an exciting and memorable verse for "Legends," delivered hilarious impersonations as Madame and Diana Vreeland in the Snatch Game, and once again exceeded expectations in the "Fairytale Justice" improv challenge. That's not to mention the fact that Raja felt like an obvious shoo-in to win the ball challenge in episode three - something that was even pointed out by the queens themselves in Untucked.
Four episodes in, Raja has been receiving nothing but praise from the judges and the viewers, but she has yet to win a single maxi challenge and a Legendary Legend Star. As expected, fans are now starting to react on social media over the fact that Raja is low-key being "robbed" on All Stars 7.
We all know that the eight queens in the All Stars 7 cast are past winners, so the level of competition throughout this season has been at an all-time high. As such, Raja not landing in the top two during these four first episodes doesn't mean that the top two queens of each week didn't deserve to be there - they did! On the other hand, it's starting to feel like Raja is becoming the Susan Lucci of the season, which is something that no one could've predicted would happen to the OG fashion queen of Drag Race.
This "robbery of Raja" could've been better excused if she wasn't doing too well in all of these performance-based challenges. But for someone coming back to Drag Race 11 years after her original season, Raja did an incredible job in these first four episodes and is still somehow failing to win herself a Legendary Legend Star. All things considered, this is literally coming across as if the judges are sleeping on Raja this season.
Raja will hopefully be able to turn this beat around as the competition progresses. So far, though, fans are understandably upset and confused by the cheek, the nerve, the gall, the audacity, and the gumption that Raja hasn't yet won a maxi challenge on All Stars 7.
RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 7 is now streaming on Paramount+.
