Canada will be crowning the "Queen of the Mother-Pucking World" very soon.
Today, World of Wonder officially announced Canada's Drag Race: Canada Versus the World, following the success of RuPaul's Drag Race UK vs. the World. Unlike the U.K. version, though, this new international All Stars season hosted in Canada will not be hosted by RuPaul herself. Instead, Brooke Lynn Hytes will host the season alongside Canada's Drag Race season two judges Brad Goreski and Traci Melchor.
The official press release reads:
"After two wildly successful seasons of Canada's Drag Race, and a third on the horizon, the queens of the north have proven they can 'sleigh' in every way. With Canada acting as host nation, Canada's Drag Race: Canada Versus The World is a six-episode battle that brings back fan-favorites from the international Drag Race family for an elite competition to crown the 'Queen of the Mother-Pucking World.'"
Hytes shared a video on social media to announce Canada's Drag Race: Canada Versus the World.
For the time being, the official release date and cast haven't been announced for this upcoming international All Stars edition. There's also still no word on whether Handmaid's Tale actress Amanda Brugel is returning as one of the main judges for future seasons of the Canadian drag series.
Alas, this announcement made it crystal clear that Canada Versus the World is being produced alongside the third season of Canada's Drag Race. Thus, both seasons are expected to come out sometime in 2022.
There are still a lot of details missing from Canada's Drag Race: Canada Versus the World, but at least the long-rumored series has now been officially announced by World of Wonder.
Canada's Drag Race: Canada Versus the World will be available for streaming on WOW Presents Plus in the U.S. and on Crave in Canada.
