Actors Logan Lerman, Billy Howle, and Matthew Beard star in Prada's new spring menwear campaign
Miuccia Prada's predilection for casting actors in her campaign keeps on giving. After asking seasoned Hollywood stars such as Adrien Brody, Michael Shannon, and Michael Pitt to model her past collections, the Italian designer chose a new breed of talent to showcase her spring-summer designs: Up-and-coming thespians Matthew Beard, Logan Lerman, and Billy Howle.
The campaign, shot by Craig McDean, focuses on vulnerability, with more relaxed, casual portrait of the young actors. Some of them may seem familiar: Matthew Beard (pictured, above) earned a Tony nomination last year for his role in Skylight, and was spotted opposite Benedict Cumberbatch in the Alan Turing biopic The Imitation Game. This isn't his first forray in the luxury fashion world, either: He was also cast in a Burberry campaign back in 2011.
Former Out cover boy Logan Lerman (pictured, above), star of The Perks of Being a Wallflower, is now looking all grown up, decked in Prada head-to-toe. Last but not least, British actor Billy Howle (pictured, below), seen in the made-for-TV BBC movie Cider With Rosie, emerges as one to watch closely -- la Miuccia is never wrong when it comes to spotting new faces.
The campaign comes complete with a video, filmed under the flashlights of a New York nightclub. Watch it at Prada.com
