This is honestly the sweetest little thing!

The world of Ashlyn Harris and Ali Krieger is pretty overjoyed with the arrival of their newborn Sloane Phillips. The pair announced the adoption of the child just last week and got congratulations from what seemed like the entire women's soccer community. Ali's brother Kyle Krieger has been sharing pictures and asking for advice on what gifts to buy a newborn. It's all proven to be the perfect salve for this otherwise crazy point in our lives. Teammate Megan Rapinoe gave a nod to the couple in her recent game.

On Sunday, the U.S. women's national soccer team faced off against Brazil in Orlando, Florida. The match was the second of a four-team event called the SheBelieves Cup. Almost an hour and a half into the game, Rapinoe scored a goal putting the U.S. up two to zero. To celebrate, she ran to the camera and gave Sloane a little shout-out, rocking her arms as if she were holding a baby and blowing a kiss. We love to see it. Team USA has now won two of their games for the tournament, having previously beat Canada, and has their next game against Argentina on Wednesday.

The Rapinoe, Harris and Krieger are all quite close on and off the field. Harris counts her as a best friend and named her maid of honor at the pair's 2019 wedding. In an Instagram Story post before the game, Harris wrote that she and Sloane had a "pregame pep talk with my Auntie P."

And if you're wondering: yes, we will be covering Sloane Phillips updates moving forward! So buckle up.
