Out100 Cover star Hayley Kiyoko has once again put on Velma's orange sweater and red skirt, and this time, she's brought along her girlfriend.
Lesbian Jesus won Halloween this year with the best couples' costume possible, when she and her girlfriend Becca Tilley dressed as newly confirmed gay icon Velma from the Scooby Doo media franchise and the girl we all ship her with, Daphne.
Kiyoko first played Velma in the 2009 live-action movie Scooby Doo! The Mystery Begins, and then returned to the role in Scooby Doo! Curse of the Lake Monster. Little did she know, 13 years later, that character would be confirmed to be gay in a Scooby Doo movie.
Now, she's returned to the role... well, at least for Halloween.
Does it get any cuter than Kiyoko and Tilley dressing up as these two classic cartoon characters? We love to see Velma and Daphne smiling at each other and kissing, especially when it's these two!
"Jinkies!!" Kiyoko wrote. "Lost my glasses, found my girl."
At the beginning of October, Kiyoko joined in the celebration when a new animated movie Trick or Treat Scooby-Doo confirmed fans' long-held belief that Velma is gay in canon. In the new movie, Mystery Inc. is forced to work with a criminal fashion designer named Coco Diablo, and Velma is crushing hard, admitting to Daphne that she has feelings for Diablo.
Kiyoko celebrated the news on Twitter. "I remember booking Velma in 2008. It was my first big role in a movie," she tweeted. "I also remember thinking 'I wonder if they know they hired a lesbian as Velma' here we are, 14 years later..."

Velma and Daphne have been a favorite ship among lesbians and sapphics for decades, and Kiyoko is giving us what we've been wishing for. This is why Lesbian Jesus is so beloved - she knows exactly how to give the gays everything we want.
