Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka continue to be absolute couple goals!
Taking to Instagram today, the Emmy- and Tony-winning actor andOut cover star -- who just recently fronted the gay, Netflix romantic comedy series Uncoupled earlier this summer -- dedicated a heartfelt and super-sweet post to his hubby of eight years, fellow actor David Burtka, to celebrate their anniversary!
"Eight years ago, our knot got tied. He's still the center of my world, the person I want to impress, the bright light in my life," Harris captioned the post. "Happy anniversary, David. I love you so much."
The longstanding couple tied the knot in 2014 in an intimate ceremony in Italy.
"I think when our kids got to the age when they were having reasonable conversations where they're asking lots of 'why' questions, then it seemed [important] to be able to have a real clear-cut [identity] of who their daddy is -- that he's my husband, it was easier than partner or boyfriend. It was nice, very small, and intimate," Harris told The View at the time about the decision he and Burtka made to make things official. "Only about 45 people were there. We did it as a destination wedding, and it kept the numbers down. I just wanted to be able to say nice things about David to David in front of the people that mattered the most to us. It was less about a proclamation and more about a declaration that I was able to share in front of our kids."
Elsewhere on Instagram, Burtka shared his own pic to celebrate their anniversary: a black and white throwback of the two on their wedding day dressed to the nines and looking suave!
"8 years and still going strong!!" Burtka wrote. "What an adventure. I can't imagine my life without you! You are as fun as the night we got married! Happy Wedding Anniversary @nph #stillgotthatspark"
