Early speculations that Maria Grazia Chiuri, one half of the design team behind Valentino, is being tapped by Dior to fill Raf Simons's shoes might be correct.
The Italian brand announced that Chiuri is officially leaving the couture house "to pursue a new professional experience," according to WWD.
This makes her counterpart, Pierpaolo Piccioli, the man in charge at Valentino, as the label's sole creative director.
Piccioli and Chiuri were co-creative directors of Valentino since 2008, and had already worked together for 10 years, at Fendi, before joining the brand.
Their last joint collection was just revealed at Paris Couture Week. (See the looks at Vogue.com)
Chuiri and Dior have yet to announce their next creative move.
