“Well, I’m gay, I should just say that.”
Alex Reimer is a seasoned sports writer for big names like Forbes, Boston Magazine, and SB Nation.
During a radio interview on WEEI's Kirk & Callahan show, Reimer, to much of the hosts' surprise, came out as gay after being prompted for an interesting fact about himself.
"Well, I'm gay, I should just say that," he said.
The interviewers became flustered as the conversation took the sharp turn just 20 minutes before the end of the show.
"What are you doing that now for?" one interviewer asked, wondering why he couldn't have done it at the beginning of the show. The three continue to go back and forth as now there wasn't enough time to properly discuss Reimer's public coming out.
He then opens up about his dating life, his crush on Justin Bieber, and how he awkwardly came out to a girl while in college.
Listen to the hilarious interview here.
