JoJo Siwa and her history-making partner Jenna Johnson absolutely ate up the ballroom floor AGAIN this week, but despite the fact that they left absolutely no crumbs behind on their plates -- and got an almost perfect score from the judges' table -- the dynamic duo were still up for elimination on last night's episode of Dancing with the Stars.
It was Queen week on DWTS, and Siwa and Johnson paid tribute to queer icon Freddie Mercury's legendary band with a tango routine to the 1982 song "Body Language." They earned a whopping 39 out of 40 points from the judges (the highest judges' score of the night from any competitors), but because of viewer votes (or the lack thereof), ended up landing in the bottom two and were in danger of being sent home.
Luckily, Siwa and Johnson will be around to dance another day, as the judges voted to keep the pair in the competition -- which is a great (and fair!) thing considering the amount of slayage that comes from both of them every. single. damn. week.
"Dancing with the Stars is a ROLLER COASTER of fun and emotions!" Siwa wrote in an Instagram statement after being saved by the judges and expressing sadness that her fellow competitor, WWE pro wrestler Mike "The Miz" Mizanin, got sent home. "Tonight we were in the bottom 2...I was heartbroken and devastated...standing there with [Mike "The Miz" Mizanin] knowing that one of us was going home tonight just made me so sad. Saying goodbye to [The Miz] tonight was so hard. He's a legend!!!"
She continued:
"I'm so grateful that Jenna and I were saved and we will be back in the ballroom BETTER than ever before next week. I am SO happy with our dance tonight that I am going to focus on that!! I can't wait to push this week and go the extra mile!!! Thank you all for voting and for all of the love and support!!!! All of your love doesn't go unnoticed! I appreciate you guys SO much!!!"
