More of Nick, Charlie, Elle, Tao, Tara, Darcy, and Tori is coming our way!

On Friday, May 20, Netflix renewed Heartstopper for seasons two and three. Fans had been waiting on bated breath for an announcement, concerned that the streaming service wouldn't renew the hit LGBTQ+ series.

In the past, Netflix has broken the hearts of many subscribers by not renewing certain shows that were beloved by superfans but didn't reach a wider audience, in favor of megahits like Bridgerton, Squid Games, Stranger Things, Money Heist, and The Witcher. Alas, it is now guaranteed that Heartstopper will have a second and third season.

Watch the video below to see Heartstopper creator Alice Oseman drawing an illustration of Nick and Charlie and announcing that the show will get "two more seasons" on Netflix.

Not much has been revealed about seasons two and three of Heartstopper as of yet. Based on the graphic novel series that inspired the TV show, however, most of the main characters featured in season one should return for these subsequent seasons. As such, fans expect actors Joe Locke (Charlie), Kit Connor (Nick), Yasmin Finney (Elle), Corinna Brown (Tara), William Gao (Tao), Kizzy Edgell (Darcy), Sebastian Croft (Ben), and Jenny Walser (Tori) to come back.

In fact, certain actors have already taken to Instagram to celebrate the fact that Heartstopper has been renewed for two more seasons. Check out how Locke, Finney, Croft, and Walser have been celebrating the news on social media.

More details about these two new seasons will be revealed in the upcoming months. For now, though, the fans and cast of Heartstopper are celebrating this well-deserved renewal.

Heartstopper season one is now streaming on Netflix.
